abcCovid 19 Updates

Continuous Learning Resources will begin Monday, April 20.

Dear Parents/Guardians

As you may have heard, in efforts to help stop the spread of COVID-19, the governor, along with the Louisiana Department of Education, closed all Louisiana schools for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. During this time, it is very important that our students continue learning and growing academically. Evangeline Parish School District will launch its Continuous Online Learning beginning Monday, April 20, 2020. Lessons and support materials are provided under each grade band. You can access Online Learning Materials by visiting www.epsb.com and click on the Continuous Learning Link. Teachers will begin virtual office hours on Monday, April 20, 2020, until the end of this school year. They will hold office hours to answer questions you might have about assignments and also provide support for you and the students concerning the continuous learning assignments. Teachers will be notifying parents of specific times that they will be available. Employees of the district will use various communication platforms to provide educational support to the students. Examples, phone calls, Google Classroom, Google Hangouts, Remind, Groupme, ClassDojo, Zoom, etc. Though this may be somewhat of a challenge for all, we will get through this. Please feel free to reach out to teachers or myself. I can be emailed at patrick.guillory@epsb.com.

Educationally yours,

Patrick T. Guillory, Jr.

Elementary Assistant Principal, Pine Prairie High School
